<p>Es wird Zeit, aus den von uns übernommenen Formen von Brekina wieder etwas zu zaubern.</p>



<p>Die Wahl fiel für das nächste Modell auf den Schienenbus von MAN, der bei zahlreichen Privatbahnen im Einsatz war, und es über den Umweg Karsdorfer Eisenbahn sogar zu DB-Ehren gebracht hat.</p>

<p>Das bekannte Brekina Modell wurde von uns in Sachen Elektronik und Motorisierung, wie schon beim BS300, einer Frischzellenkur unterzogen. Die Beleuchtung ist nun komplett LED, das Modell hat Lichtwechsel, Innenbeleuchtung, Führerstandsbeleuchtung, im Digitalbetrieb ist alles getrennt schaltbar.</p>

<p>Immer an Bord ist ein Lautsprecher, so daß ein Umbau auf Sound sehr einfach ist, passende Decoder können in die neue Next18 Schnittstelle eingesteckt werden.</p>



<p>In Sachen Sound haben wir ebenfalls etwas neues, von Zimo kommt ein extra für unser Modell neu angepasster Sound, den wir verbauen, wenn Sie das Modell direkt bei uns als digitales Soundmodell bestellen. Einzeln ist der Sound nicht erhältlich.</p>

<p>Bei den Versionen haben wir uns bescheiden für 12 Varianten zum Start entschieden <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f642.png" alt="🙂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Die weiteren Details bei der Außengestaltung entsprechen dem sehr guten Brekina Modell. <br>Zur Beförderung von Wagen hat das Modell wie gewohnt eine NEM Kupplungsaufnahme und Bügelkupplungen.</p>

<p>Eine schlechte Nachricht gibt es für alle Wechselstrom Bahner: Bis auf weiteres werden wir keine AC Version anbieten können. Der Grund hierfür ist, daß das Modell einen zu langen Radstand hat, und bei Kurven dazu führen würde, daß ein mittig verbauter Schleifer die Punktkontakte verlassen und die Gleise berühren würde.<br>Wir arbeiten an einer Idee, aber versprechen können wir hier nichts.</p>

<p>Wenn man den zahlreichen Erwähnungen, Anfragen, Beiträgen und vielem mehr Glauben schenken kann, die nach diesem Zug fragen, und wenn man dann noch im Ruhrgebiet wohnt und der betreffende Zug ein alltäglicher Anblick auf dem Weg zur Arbeit ist, kann man sich nur eine Frage stellen: Warum hat noch niemand den Desiro HC Rhein-Ruhr-Express (RRX) gebaut?</p>



<p>Glücklicherweise sind wir ein Modellbahnhersteller, also bauen wir ihn einfach selbst!</p>

<p>Unser Modell des Siemens Desiro HC in Spur H0 ist für das 1. Quartal 2024 geplant. Wie die Bilder zeigen, ist die Grundkonstruktion der Form bereits abgeschlossen, jetzt geht es an den Feinschliff und um die weiteren Details.  Um einen 4-teiligen Desiro HC nachzubauen, benötigt es zwei verschiedene Endwagen und zwei der Doppelstockwagen, die beim 4-Teiler baugleich sind. Eine RRX Einheit hat im Modell eine Länge von ca. 120cm. </p>

<p>Unser Modell in 1:87 wird in Sachen Technik auf dem aktuellen Stand sein. Jeder Endwagen bekommt einen Motor, der Zug wird über elektrisch leitende Kupplungen komplett versorgt, so daß eine 22-polige Digitalschnittstelle genügt. Ab Werk sind Lichtwechsel, beleuchtete Zugzielanzeigen, Innenbeleuchtung und vieles mehr an Bord. </p>



<p>Für die Digitalisierung und den Sound arbeiten wir mit den Firmen D&amp;H und LeoSoundLab zusammen. Ein komplett neuer Sound wurde für uns an einem Originalzug von National Express aufgenommen und wird dem Modell angepasst. Im Digitalbetrieb gibt es dann neben den Geräuschen auch schaltbares Fernlicht und Führerstandsbeleuchtung.</p>



<p>An den Fronten kommt eine fein dargestellte Scharfenbergkupplung zum Einsatz, die dem Original nachempfunden und nicht kuppelbar bist. Aber auch hier wurde natürlich nachgedacht, im verbauten NEM Schacht kann auf Wunsch auch eine funktionsfähige (etwas größere) Scharfenbergkupplung für den Einsatz als Doppeltraktion eingebaut werden.</p>



<p>Selbstverständlich wird es Versionen in DC und AC geben, und die Züge werden für einen Minimumradius von 420mm geeignet sein. Weitere Details werden folgen, sobald das Modell in der Entwicklung weiter vorangeschritten ist.</p>

<p>Als erste Varianten planen wir wie schon erwähnt Garnituren nach dem Vorbild des RRX. Ein Set wird der Bahngesellschaft Abellio zugeordnet und auf der Linie RE1 fahren, das andere Set ist die aktuelle Version eines von National Express betriebenen Zuges auf der Linie RE6.  </p>

<p>Das Vorbild ist ein Fahrzeug, daß in jeden Bestand nach Vorbild der Epochen III und IV gehört. Auf Basis des Gms enstanden damals Güterzugbegleitwagen, die teilweise noch heute im Werkstattdienst oder als Bahnhofswagen existieren.</p>



<p>Unser Modell wird wie unsere anderen Güterwagen auf dem aktuellen Stand der Technik sein. Neben den bekannten feinen Details realisieren wir zum ersten Mal auch Federpuffer an einem unserer Modelle.</p>

<p>Da es den Pwghs in einigen Varianten gab, tragen wir den notwendigen Detailänderungen Rechnung. Sehr auffällig ist natürlich der Unterschied zwischen der Version mit 4 oder mit 5 Fenstern. Aber auch bei den Bühnen, Federn, Trittstufen, Türriegeln und vielen anderen Dingen können wir mehrere Varianten realisieren. Die seitlichen Türen lassen sich öffnen und mit den kleinen Haken verriegeln.</p>

<p>Dazu kommt auch eine Inneneinrichtung für alle Wagen. Hier gibt es ebenfalls verschiedene Versionen, mit oder ohne Ofen, mit Regalen, mit Abteil und Toilette usw. </p>



<p>Als Highlight statten wir die Wagen mit einer Innenbeleuchtung aus. Diese wird mit zwei LR41 Knopfzellen betrieben und ist somit komplett unabhängig vom Fahrstrom und kann auf DC und AC Anlagen Verwendung finden. Zum Ein- und Ausschalten genügt das Antippen des Dachs mit dem beiliegenden &#8222;Zauberstab&#8220;. Bei unseren Tests hat die Beleuchtung bisher 14 Stunden durchgehalten und funktioniert immer noch.</p>

<p>Bei der Konstruktion des ET403 in Spur N stellte sich die Frage nach den Kupplungen sowie der Kurvengängigkeit des Modells. Kompromisse bei der äußeren Gestaltung sollten vermieden werden, um das Gesamtbild des Modells nicht zu zerstören. Die meisten Spur N Bahner wünschten sich hier kein Abweichen vom Erscheinungsbild des Zuges. Gleichzeitig wollten wir aber den Einsatz auf möglichst vielen verschiedenen Anlagen und Gleisradien ermöglichen.</p>



<p>Daher haben wir uns für eine Lösung mit Kupplungen in verschiedenen Längen entschieden. Mit den werkseitig eingebauten Scharfenbergkupplungen kann das Modell Radius 2 und dazu passende Weichen und Bögen durchfahren. Soll das Modell engere Radien oder &#8222;gewagte&#8220; Konstruktionen beim Gleisbau durchfahren, hat man mit den längeren Scharfenbergkupplungen, die jedem Modell beiliegen, die Möglichkeit, den Abstand zwischen den Fahrzeugen zu vergrößern. Sei es mit einer Kombination aus langen und kurzen Kupplungen, oder komplett mit langen Kupplungen. Als Alternative bieten wir weitere Scharfenbergkupplungen, <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.dm-toys.de/de/liste/suche/MU_N-X000.html" target="_blank">Klauenkupplungen</a> etc. bei <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="http://www.dm-toys.de" target="_blank">www.dm-toys.de</a> an.</p>

<p>Auch die &#8222;nachgiebige&#8220; Kulisse hat ihren Grund in der Beweglichkeit zwischen den Fahrzeugen. Die Wagen lassen sich trotzdem einfach kuppeln, ggf. durch leichtes Anheben an den Enden. Zum Entkuppeln genügt ein Außeinanderziehen.</p>



<p>An der Front des Zuges findet sich ebenfalls eine Normaufnahme für die Kupplung. Aufgrund der vorbildgerecht schlanken Form der Nase war es nicht möglich, hier auch eine Kulissenmechanik zu verbauen. Daher liegen auch hier lange Kupplungsdeichseln bei, um einen Schleppbetrieb oder eine seltene Doppeltraktion nachzustellen.</p>

<p>Es geht zügig vorwärts in Sachen ET 403, die Produktion hat uns aktuelle Bilder gesendet. Auf diesen kann man auch gut die &#8222;Tricks&#8220; beim Bedrucken erkennen: Zunächst wird die Front lackiert und bedruckt, da ansonsten die Vorlage nicht der Rundung der Fahrzeugnase folgen könnte.</p>

<p>Gleichzeitig werden auch die Rahmen der Wagen für das Bedrucken und die Montage vorbereitet. <p>Nach der Lackierung und Bedruckung folgt dann die Montage der Modelle. Selbstverständlich werden wir dazu auch ein paar Infos weitergeben. Das Modell ist definitiv auf der Zielgeraden!</p>

<p>Es ist kein Geheimnis mehr, das wir die eine oder andere Form von Brekina übernommen und unserem Sortiment hinzugefügt haben. So auch geschehen beim Modell des BS300 Schi-Stra-Busses.</p>



<p>Das schöne an den Brekina Modellen ist, daß man an der Form und Gestaltung nichts ändern muß, da die Qualität sehr hoch war und ist. Bei der Technik unter der Haube hat es natürlich seit dem letzten Erscheinen der Modelle ein paar Fortschritte gegeben, und diese setzen wir um. Insofern fließt doch einiges an Arbeit in die vermeintlich fertigen Modelle.</p>

<p>Im Falle des BS300 haben wir die Schnittstelle mit einer Next 18 Variante auf den neuesten Stand gebracht. Außerdem wurde der Antrieb durch einen aktuellen Motor ersetzt. Ein großes Augenmerk haben wir auf die Beleuchtung gelegt. Unser Modell hat nun funktionierende Frontscheinwerfer sowie rote Rücklichter, darüber hinaus aber auch rote Lichter an der Front des Busses sowie weiße Rückfahrscheinwerfer am Heck. </p>

<p>Außerdem gibt es ab sofort einen werkseitig eingebauten Lautsprecher. Dieser hat Platz im umkonstruierten Unterboden gefunden und erspart somit weitere Lötarbeiten oder das komplette Zerlegen des Modells.</p>

<p>Für die Freunde von Fahrzeugen mit Sound hat Zimo extra die passenden Geräusche neu aufgenommen und abgestimmt, so daß man hier in den Genuß aktuellster Qualität in Sachen Klang und Effekte kommt. <p>Neben der Gleichstrom Version wird es beim BS300 auch eine Wechselstrom Version geben, werkseitig mit einem DH Decoder ausgestattet. Und für die Freunde des Straßenverkehrs gibt es Modelle ohne Drehgestelle (und ohne Motor!). Hierzu noch eine kleine Einschränkung: Aufgrund von Änderungen in der Form sind die damals bei Brekina vorhandenen, unmotorisierten Drehgestelle und Ausklapp-Stützen nicht mehr vorhanden.</p>

<p>Bei den Versionen haben wir darauf geachtet, aus der zugegeben begrenzten Vorbildsituation das Beste zu machen, vier Varianten sind dabei herausgekommen, die passend zur Einsatzzeit die entsprechenden Beschriftungen und Anbauten wie Besandung und Schutzbleche haben oder nicht haben. Für den, der selbst tätig werden will in Sachen Versionsgestaltung, liegt ein Decalbogen mit verschiedenen Anschriften bei. Ab Werk ist die Bedruckung passend zur Version natürlich bereits angebracht!</p>

<p>Wenn man sich unser Spur N Sortiment anschaut, konnte man diese Neuheit kommen sehen. Aufgrund der vielen Nachfragen nach H0 war die Entscheidung, unsere gesammelten Daten für eine weitere Neuheit in 1/87 zu nutzen, schnell gefallen.</p>

<p>Wie auch beim <a href="https://info.modellbahnunion.com/neues-vom-produktmanager-tbnhs-30-teil-4/" data-type="URL" data-id="https://info.modellbahnunion.com/neues-vom-produktmanager-tbnhs-30-teil-4/">Tbnhs 30 Kühlwagen</a> müssen natürlich einige Elemente beim &#8222;Transfer&#8220; von Spur N zu Spur H0 bearbeitet werden. Neben offensichtlichen Dingen wie den Kupplungen und Achsen prüft man Materialstärken, Detailumsetzungen und vieles mehr. Griffe werden im Verhältnis dünner, Gitter feiner, usw&#8230;</p>

<p>Nach Funktionstests mit unlackierten Handmodellen hat uns die Produktion sehr schnell mit den finalen Mustern überrascht. Modelle mit Lackierung machen das Kontrollieren sehr viel einfacher, da man besser mit Fotos von originalen Fahrzeugen vergleichen kann.</p>

<p>Da unser Produzent sowohl mit dem Bau von Modellbahnen als auch mit unseren Wünschen mittlerweile sehr erfahren ist, gab es an den Mustern nicht mehr wirklich viel zu bemängeln, und die Produktion konnte freigeben werden.</p>

<p>Das Ergebnis hat alle Erwartungen erfüllt. Schließlich waren wir seit unseren Güterwagen auch schon einiges Gutes in Sachen Druckqualität gewohnt.<br>Natürlich bleiben Kleinigkeiten nicht aus. Warum zum Beispiel Horn und vordere Antenne rot waren, wußte nicht einmal mehr der Konstrukteur. Aber wenn weiter nichts ist&#8230;.</p>

<p>&#8230; war es aber doch. Sie erinnern sich noch an <a href="https://info.modellbahnunion.com/neues-vom-produktmanager-et-403-n-folge-1/">Folge 1</a>? Da dachte ich, daß mit der Kopfform genau der richtige Ton getroffen wurde. Und auch beim ersten, silbernen Muster viel noch nichts auf.<br>Die nun vorhandene Farbe, die es tatsächlich einfacher macht, daß Modell mit den Originalbildern zu vergleichen, sorgte für eine (böse) Überraschung: Die Dachhutze stimmt nicht.</p>

<p>Die nun notwendigen Änderungen an die Konstruktion zu geben, erforderte einigen zeichnerischen und sprachlichen Aufwand. Versuchen Sie mal, einen Kurvenverlauf auf Basis eines wagen Eindrucks und mit Hilfe 30 Jahre alter Fotos zu erklären. </p>



<p>Aber es hat funktioniert, und die Form wurde erfolgreich in die richtige Richtung geändert.</p>

<p>Ein Wort noch zur Farbgebung. An dieser Stelle scheiden sich in Bezug sowohl auf das grau als auch das gelb die Geister. Wir sind der Meinung, sie ist richtig. Auf Basis aller zur Verfügung stehenden Daten, den Informationen der Lufthansa, den Meinungen aus der Fachliteratur und nicht zuletzt: Auf Basis unseres ganz persönlichen Eindrucks.</p>

<p>Schritt 2 in der Produktion eines jeden neuen Modells hat im Falle des ET 403 lang gedauert, geschuldet der Pandemie. Fabrikschließungen plus eine große Nachfrage nach Modellbahnen haben keinen Hersteller dazu ermutigt, sich primär mit einer Neuentwicklung zu beschäftigen! <br>Aber es kam der Tag, an dem ein schicker, 4-teiliger und silberner Zug unsere Büros in Kamen erreicht hat. Und glücklicherweise war das Ergebnis all unserer bisherigen Bemühungen vom Start weg sehr ermutigend.</p>

<p>Erster Schritt war die Überprüfung der Umsetzung im Formbereich. Sieht der Kopf stimmig aus? Passen die Proportionen? Stimmen die Höhen von Fenstern und Türen? Wie machen sich die filigranen Anbauteile auf dem Dach?</p>

<p>Bemerkt wurde bei diesen Kontrollen zum Beispiel, daß die Konstrukteure einen &#8222;Fehler&#8220; beim Dachstromabnehmer gemacht hatten. Das Ziel wahr löblich (nämlich die Höhe des Pantos und Bewegung des Schleifstücks zu begrenzen), die Ausführung mit einem zu dicken Haltedraht allerdings nicht gut. Im Sinne einer filigranen Optik wird dieser entfernt. </p>

<p>Nachdem im Formenbereich alles gecheckt war, ging es an die Funktion. Tests über unser hauseigenes Gleisoval samt enger Weichen liefen selbst mit den neuen, kurzen Scharfenbergkupplungen erfolgreich. Eng im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes wurde es erst, als es an S-Kurven in Radius 1 oder Gegenbögen mit diesem Radius ging. Hier stößt eine vorbildgerechte Umsetzung mit dem gewünschten Kuppelabstand an ihre Grenzen. <br>Auf Basis dieser Erkenntnis haben wir uns dazu entschlossen, den ET 403 mit Kupplungen in verschiedenen Längen auszuliefern, so daß man je nach Anlage kurze und lange Kupplungen kombinieren kann.</p>



<p>Nach analogen Fahrtests erfolgte noch eine Kontrolle der digitalen Funktionen sowie des eingebauten Lautsprechers. Durch Vorabkontrollen der eingebauten Platinen konnte hier das meiste bereits im Vorfeld geklärt werden, so daß der Zug nach Einbau eines Decoders und Aufspielen des passenden Mappings exakt das machte, was er sollte.</p>



<p>Fazit: Test bestanden. Her mit dem Druckmuster!</p>
